THE NEW FISHING
TOUR PROJECT
IN HEDA
Hello everyone!
My name is MURAKAMI
for Ocean Project.
On September 3,
We welcomed a couple from the US
through the Nippon Travel Agency,
and had a chartered-boat tour
of 4-hour fishing.
Thank you, Ms. Laura Van Gorden!!
On this tour, they want to …
・Experience Japanese culture
in “Fune (=boat)” fishing,
・Enjoy “Sashimi (=raw fish),”
made of fish that
they have caught themselves,
at a local cafeteria,
・and communicate with
people there.
Considering all these requests,
I coordinated the tour themed
“Fishing & cuisine
experience
unique to Heda, Numazu.”
As arriving the port and getting ready,
we take a picture!
Featuring supporting members
of this tour:
The FUKUSHOU-MARU Captain Keisuke,
Translator Tachikawa,
and me, Murakami, as a fishing guide.
Let’s get started!
Just after 5 min. of a boat ride,
we get to the first fishing spot!
Now, we start with “Oyogase-zuri.”
In this fishing, you swim a mackerel
that you have fished first
to catch a bigger yellow tail!!
And,
Ms. Laura excitedly gets one!!
And he catches a big-spotted grouper!!
After a while,
as they get used to boat fishing,
we have switched to
“Chuuhukaba Komase Gomoku” fishing.
The fishing is at a deeper point
and uses small shrimps as a bait.
Catching a rockfish!!
And finally,
a Japanese luxurious fish,
Amadai,
has shown up!!
Congratulations!!
And at last,
we catch a Mutsu
in “Shinkai (=deep ocean)” fishing,
which is a famous fishing style in Heda.
Taking pictures for memory,
we have wrapped up the fishing part.
Then, we enjoy cuisine with
fresh fish that we just caught.
All these delicious dishes are
cooked by
Amadai baked with salt↓
Sashimi↓
The couple enjoyed themselves very much!
